Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, and founded in 1970, Shoffner provides both new and post construction services, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, maintenance services, industrial ventilation, millwright, boiler repair, sheetmetal fabrication and electrical maintenance.

Shoffner's "state of the art" sheetmetal fabrication operation is housed in a 66,000 square foot facility. With the tuck-in acquisition of Shoffner Service, Shoffner has added HVAC maintenance service to leverage into it's existing excellent customer relationships.

Shoffner's client list includes a "who's who" of American industry, including such firms as; John Deere, Panasonic, Great Lakes Chemical, Duracell, Clayton Homes, Boeing Aerospace, Caterpillar, Firestone, Rubbermaid, Hunt Wesson and Allied Signal.

Some specific projects include a $9 million dollar cost plus plant start-up for Molten Metal Technologies, a $5.5 million dollar HVAC and Plumbing renovation & expansion of the McGhee Tyson / Knoxville Airport, HVAC and plumbing systems installation valued in excess of $10 million dollars for the new Knoxville Convention Center, technically challenging data call centers for United States Cellular, Nova, ABB, MCI Worldcom and the Associates Financial Group, automotive air bag manufacturing facilities for Morton Bendix and Atlantic Research Corporation, as well numerous projects at the University of Tennessee.

Shoffner employs close to 500 "open shop" craftspeople, depending on the type of projects under construction and the current workload. Shoffner sheetmetal, plumbing and electrical apprentices are enrolled in four year long, government certified training and education programs.
